Meet the Baker
Hi! I am Cory Carpenter of Carp’s Baked Sweets, your local cookier. I am an educator, wife, mom and baker. I love trying out new recipes, learning, listening to podcasts, cheering on my hometown sports teams and of course—decorating cookies! My love for baking started when I was a child and loved helping my mom in the kitchen. One of my favorite traditions was going to my grandma’s house and she would have all of her homemade candies, cookies and pies out for the family to eat.
Fast forward, 25 years or so, and COVID hit, and we had more time to spend with our families, to read, and bake. I took the opportunity to explore a new hobby, which has since turned into a passion for baking and decorating cookies. This “hobby” has turned into something more of a therapeutic and enjoyable activity. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun it is making cookies for all sorts of events and special milestones, there’s always something to celebrate! I look forward to working with you and adding that personal touch to your celebration.
